The Swan is reviewed in The Telegraph

“This month’s best new hotel openings

The ‘grand dame of Southwold’ has had a new lick of paint and is set to reopen its doors imminently. Many of The Swan’s original features, some of which date back to the 1600s, have been restored or preserved, such as staircases, weaving corridors and the traditional facade. Otherwise, it’s been given the modern inn treatment – copper fittings, swan motifs, stripes and the millennial colour scheme du jour – bright pink tips on four-poster beds, grass-green sofas and midnight blue on the walls. It’s close to the seafront, the Southwold lighthouse and the Adnams brewery, to whom the hotel belongs.”
