We’re delighted to bring you ‘The Reading Room Series’ at the Swan, Southwold. This is the first of its kind and we are very excited about it.
Using our authentic Reading Room with beautiful views over the market place, we are hosting a varied season of exciting visiting experts to talk about their inspirational lives. The series kicks off with Justine Picardie on Saturday, 5th October at 10am.
Justine Picardie is an author and journalist. The editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar since 2012, she also launched the British edition of Town & Country in 2014. After starting her career as a journalist at the Sunday Times, she has worked as a columnist, writer and editor for a number of different newspapers and magazines, including the Observer, the Telegraph and Vogue. The author of five books, her most recent was the best-selling biography, ‘Coco Chanel: the Legend and the Life.’ She is now writing a new book, ‘Miss Dior’, about the previously untold story of Catherine Dior, the sister of the famous couturier, and a heroine of the French Resistance.
Join us for morning refreshments from 10am, Justine will start her talk promptly at 10.30am, and we’ll have Q&A and book signings from 11.30am. We expect the event to come to a close around midday.
